ID TECH Announces the Release of VP6800

Cypress, CA, 08 05, 2021 – ID TECH, a global leader in secure payment solutions, has announced the release of the VP6800, a modern all-in-one payment device for the Unattended market. The VP6800 is a PCI PTS 5.X device that accepts MSR, EMV Chip, and Contactless payments. This device can easily be integrated for vending, parking, self-service kiosks, and other unattended platforms.

The VP6800 has a 4.3-inch glass touchscreen that can be used for custom graphics or advertisements. It is certified for POG (PIN on Glass) transactions and all other card verification methods. It also features a camera that doubles as both a security measure and a QR code reader. The VP6800 truly has an innovative design that allows merchants to have an interactive payment device for their customers.

The VP6800 is made to endure extreme outdoor environments with a wide range of temperature changes. Additionally, it is dust and waterproof with an IP 65 rating, and impact protected with an IK 08 rating. The VP6800 is also a part of ID TECH’s Common EMV Kernel family of products, allowing partners who have integrated other ID TECH EMV products to quickly adopt the VP6800.
