CYPRESS, CA (October 23, 2018) ID TECH, a global leader in secure payment solutions, along with BluePay, a leading gateway and payment technology provider, announced the release of an integrated mobile EMV processing solution that uses a mobile application running on a smartphone or tablet, combined with ID TECHs VP3300 3-in-1 (EMV/chip card, MSR/swipe, and NFC/contactless) device, to process chip card transactions through the BluePay Payment Gateway via EMV/chip card and MSR/swipe.

BluePay partners and merchants who require the ability to accept a card-present EMV or swipe transaction on a smartphone or tablet will benefit by using the BluePay Mobile EMV Processing solution, said Jeff Punzel, Senior Product Manager-Gateway at BluePay. Think of this as a secure hosted payment form for a mobile or mobile-web card-present application. The solution is designed to interface directly with existing mobile applications through an API layer built into the BluePay Mobile Processing application.

Certified for use with the BluePay Payment Gateway, the VP3300 is a Bluetooth-enabled EMV device that can accept both EMV or swipe transactions. These devices are available directly from BluePay and are injected with a proprietary encryption key that only works with the BluePay Payment Gateway.

Merchants who actively use a smartphone or tablet in their daily operations will benefit from the ability to now accept EMV chip card payments quickly and efficiently, said ID TECHs Product Manager, Yulan Liang.
